Coffee & Friends

Most always, I don't make cards during the work week.  However, I really wanted to participate in the Fall Coffee Hop, so I made this card late last night.  I used a Stampin' Up stamp set and a scalloped border die from Sweet 'N Sassy.  I also added some seam binding and sequins to my card.
I'm excited to link up to these challenges......

Fall Coffee Blog Hop - Share a Coffee, Tea or Cocoa project.  I always love playing along in this challenge, and I'm glad I found the time to participate before it's over!

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Shimmer and Shine - so I added some sequins to make my card shimmer a bit!

Just Keep On Creating - This is a fun Anything Goes challenge.  Come by and link up!

Thanks for stopping by!

Warm Autumn Wishes

I hope you all had as nice and productive a weekend as I had.  Not only did I get all my (real) work done, but I also had time to do some of my "fun" work such as shopping, gardening, card-making, and such.  I had my Pumpkin Patch Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink out on my work desk already, so I decided to use it again to make this card for the new challenge over at Papertrey Ink.  I love using this particular stamp set.  But then again, I love using all my stamp sets.
I used a kraft cardstock base, white card stock for my stamping and background, lots of Tim Holtz ink (Marmalade, Brick, Peeled Paint and Black Soot), my Tombow Adhesive, and some orange striped ribbon.  It's really pretty simple, but with my busy schedule, that's about all I ever have time for anyway.  I'm happy to be able to play along in some challenges that I love:

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge Blog is Stamp It to celebrate STAMPtember

Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #171- This is Anything Goes With Ribbon

CropStop Link Party #31 - Anything Goes with CropStop products (mentioned above)

That's all for today, but I hope to have a few more cards next weekend.  Until then, I wish you well.

Turkey Time

I don't know about you, but I'm excited for Thanksgiving.  I can almost smell that turkey in the oven now. Thanksgiving is always a wonderful holiday for me.  First, I get a nice long weekend.  Second, I get to spend time with my extended family (parents, siblings, aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandparents); and third, all that amazing food!  My Grandma Leona makes the best pumpkin pie in the world, and I can't wait to sink my teeth into a piece of it.
I got the inspiration for this card on Pinterest here:  Turkey Card.  Of course, mine isn't exactly like the one I saw because I had to use the papers and ribbons I had on hand; and I also had to make the body and face of my turkey on my own.  I just cut two circles, used my hole punch for the eyeballs, and drew the pecker and gobbler by hand.  Let's face it, friends.....I teach English; not Art!  LOL!

I'm excited to link up my card in these fun challenges that I love:

Simon Says Stamp - On the Wednesday Challenge Blog it's Anything Goes

Really Reasonable Ribbon - Their challenge #171 is Anything Goes With Ribbon

CropStop - Their Link Party #31 is Anything Goes with items from CropStop Store.  I used Black Soot Tim Holtz Ink to stamp my sentiment, Tea Dye Tim Holtz Ink on its edges, and Tombow Adhesive to hold all my ribbons on my turkey.

Crafty Hazelnut's September Patterned Paper Challenge - Use pattern papers on your project.

Word Art Wednesdays - Their challenge #298-299 is Anything Goes/Family Friendly

Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday - August/September Work it Wednesday Challenge - They want you to use some of your favorite stamps, so I did that with my sentiment.  This is a Fall favorite of mine.

Joy Clair September Challenge - This challenge is Anything Goes with an inspiration photo.  When I saw the feathers in the inspiration photo, I knew that I wanted to create my own "feathers" by using ribbons.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I would absolutely LOVE and appreciate having you FOLLOW my blog.  I'd be more than happy to do the same for you.  I also love your comments and input.
