Rise & Shine

This tag was a super quick one.  I used a sentiment from the Freebie at Verve, and the coffee cup is from V's Sweet Ideas Coffee Break stamp set from my stash.  I added some black burlap string and green seam binding.  Like I said, nothing fancy.  I'm just having fun playing in the Coffee Blog Hop.
Thanks for stopping by!

I Love You Latte!

It's always fun to pull out a stamp set you haven't used in a while.  I got this set quite some time ago when I was a Guest Designer at V's Sweet Ideas.  The stamp set is called Coffee Break.  It's been collecting dust in my stamp basket for far too long.
I stamped the latte cup image several times onto Authentique Homestead pattern papers, then cut and glued various patterns into place on the cup.  I stamped the sentiment on the same papers and cut a little flag to display it by "dirtying" the edges with my ink.  VERY simple....yes.

Thank you for visiting.  I'd love to have you follow my blog.  To me, that would be just as good as winning a prize.  Have a happy day!

In The (Tea) Bag

Hi, guys!  I'm back again today with the second tag I created yesterday.  As I mentioned in my last post, I made a whole bunch of these (I know if was over a dozen for sure).  I didn't want to type that many blog posts (cuz I just don't have time), and I also thought it would be wrong to have that many posts using such similar tags.  So to keep it short and sweet, I'm just sharing two of the tags I made using these cute little freebie images from Julee Tillman over on the Verve Blog.
I colored the images and added them to a tag.  I attached a seam binding bow, and as I mentioned before,  I plan to give these tags to several of my co-workers who love to read because tags make great bookmarks, and they're a sweet little gift to give when somebody needs a pick-me-up.  Well that, and a cup or two of coffee of course!

I'm going to play along in some challenges, too.

Verve Blog - Using Verve Freebies - I just love that tea cup image, and I know the sentiment really means "you got this in the (tea) bag" cuz that's where the caffeine is....and it keeps me going throughout the day.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog - Spring Blog Hop

I'm so glad you visited my blog today.  I might not get around to commenting until Thursday night, or next weekend at the latest.  Please don't ever think that I don't appreciate your visits.  I SO do, but to be really honest, I just don't have enough hours in the day to do all I want to do.   I'll visit you back as soon as I can, and please know that I really am grateful to have you stop by.

Rise and Shine

I hope you all had a great weekend.  I sure enjoyed mine.  I got some gardening done, spent a few hours with my niece (took her for ice cream), and I even got to spend some time in my craft room which I always enjoy.  I used a few more of the free images from Verve to create some tags.  I made about 13 of them, but I'm only going to share two of them because I don't want to make that many blog posts or take that many pictures (just being honest).
I colored the images and added them to a tag.  I attached a seam binding bow, and I plan to give these tags to several of my co-workers who love to read as much as I do.  Tags make great bookmarks and are a sweet little gift to give.

I'm going to play along in some challenges, too.

Little Scrap Pieces - Saturday Linky Party  (Hurray!  I won there last week.  Come and play along for YOUR chance to win, everyone!!)

Have fun this week, and keep on crafting when you can.

May Your Burdens Be Light...

Hello again, and welcome by my blog.  I'm enjoying my weekend and finally getting to spend some time at my craft table making some cards.  What a treat to find these cute images on the Verve Challenge Blog.  I started printing, cutting, coloring and creating right away.
I used some scraps of pattern paper, seam binding, a tiny wooden clothespin, stamps and Copics to put this card together.  I love that little cup with the tea bag over the edge.  Isn't it cute?  Here are the challenges where I'm going to link up my card.

It's Coffee Time

As a very early riser, coffee is an integral part of my day.  In fact, I don't think I could start my day without it, or get through my day without several more cups.  It has essentially become my life-line.  So...when I saw this it's time for the Spring Blog Hop at the Coffee-Loving Card Makers Blog, I knew I had to play along to show my deep love for the most amazing beverage in the world.....COFFEE!!
I made my card with a piece of pattern paper, a doily that I ink stained, a die-cut sentiment from Verve, some baker's twine, and a die-cut coffee cup from Taylored Expressions.  It's a very simple card, but it gets my point across.  And my point is that I love coffee!
Here's where I am linking my card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Thinking Of You

Hi there!!  It's been a month since I last blogged.  Sheesh! I guess I'm busier than I even realize.   I've been buried up to my eyeballs in essays and papers needing to be graded, reports to submit, etc.  My job keeps me super busy, but I still love doing it.  I just don't get a whole lot of time to spend in my craft room; and now that the weather is getting so nice, I don't want to be inside all that much - especially on my much needed weekends.  Nonetheless, I got some time today to make a couple of cards that I'll be able to post.

I made this card for a couple of challenges I saw that I wanted to play along in, and I'm hoping to find a couple more where it will fit as well.  I used some Crate Paper products on this one, and the stamped sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp from their Big U Words Stamp Set.  It's a pretty simple card, but that's about all I have time for these days.

I will be sharing this card in these challenges I love:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - For A Special Lady/Girl - This card will go to a female co-worker who needs a little pick-me-up this week.

CropStop Linky Party #26 - March Challenge - I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Fossilized Amber and Black Soot.

Word Art Wednesdays #272-273 - Anything Goes/Family Friendly

Dare 2 B Artzy - March Challenge/Lots of Layers - I have a patterned paper layer, a paper strip, a journaling card layer, tape, a 3-dimensional bow, and stamping on top...even embellishments.  I hope that's enough layering.  LOL

Thanks for the visit!
