Pretty Aqua and Coral Card

I saw this lovely color combination over at Classy Cards 'n Such for their FINAL challenge before the blog closes.  I knew that I wanted to play along, and create something with this super pretty color  combination, so I whipped up a quick card so that I could play along.  It's a very simple and quick card, but it does fit the theme and showcases this lovely combination.  I love these sweet colors together, don't you?  As I said, I kept it very simple in design, but primarily wanted to showcase these lovely colors.  They're SO pretty!
I found a few  other challenges in addition where I can share my simple little card, and I hope that if you're not too super busy that you will also come by and play along in these challenges (if you haven't already).  I will be linking up and hoping for the best.  Wins are few and far between, but I do enjoy trying.

Classy Cards 'n Such #125 - Aqua and Coral - This challenge still REALLY needs a few more entries, so if you have ANYTHING in the color wheel house this week, be sure to share it there.  Who knows....YOU could be the lucky random winner.  I really hope they reach enough entries to count on this, their last challenge.

Word Art Wednesday - Challenge #220 - Anything Goes - Family Friendly

CropStop Challenge Blog - Linky Party #13 - Anything Goes - I used Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Ink on my project (a favorite ink of mine) that is sold at CropStop.

Sweet Stamp Challenge Blog - February Anything Goes Challenge - SO fun to play along.  I used a hand-stamped sentiment in black ink.

Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog - Glitter and Sparkle.  I used sequins for my glitter and sparkle.  I stamped my sentiment with an older stamp set and black ink.

Thanks for stopping by to say hello.  I'm grateful, as always to have you visit.

Have a great week and keep on creating those great projects.  Don't waste ANY time; just keep creating.  Since I'm always SO busy, I never pass up an opportunity to create when I possibly can.

Great Hearts

Welcome to my little blog where few ever visit.  But if you're here now, I'm very excited to have you visit.  If you're not already following me, I would really appreciate it if you would.  I'm trying so hard to grow my followers, and of course I will follow your blog in return.

I saw this sketch at Sketch Saturday, and wanted to play along.  I used a pretty simple method to put this together, but it includes all the elements of the sketch as you can see,
I used ivory cardstock and added some paper strips.  Then I made the focal point by layering it, adding a stamped sentiment and a bird that I had left over from something.  I inked all the edges with Tim Holz Distress Inks.
Here's where I'm playing along:

Sketch Saturday #399 - Sponsored by Simon Says Stamp - Woo Hoo!  Who wouldn't LOVE to win that?  I know I sure would.

Word Art Wednesday - Challenge #220 - Anything Goes/Family Friendly

CropStop - Linky Party #13 - Anything Goes - I used lots of great Tim Holtz Distress Inks

DRS Designs - Challenge #214 - Inspired By Color

Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday Linky Party

V's Sweet Ideas - Challenge #43 - Loving Pink

Sweet Stamps Blog - February/Anthing Goes - You're allowed to play along three times.  This is my first entry into this sweet challenge.

Thanks for visiting me, and please be sure to follow me and stop by again soon.

Lots of Love

I always enjoy seeing the fabulous tutorials shared on the Papertrey Ink Blog, and I always want to play along.  The problem, being a school teacher, is that I seldom have time during the work week to get any crafting done.  So.....I normally have to wait until Saturday to get some crafting time, and that's exactly what I did this week.  I thought all week about what I wanted to do with this technique, and I was really wishing I had the same lovely watercolor stamp set Melissa Phillips used in her tutorial.  Since I didn't, I had to make do with what I had.  I created my backgrounds with patterned papers.  I used the same Papertrey Ink die-cut Melissa used (the Wonderful Words Love), and I also followed her ombre coloring of these die-cuts using gelatos and placing felt hearts and sequins in the centers of the heart-shaped O's.  Then, I stamped "LOTS OF" with the matching Wonderful Words Love Stamp Set.  Like I said, not as pretty as Melissas; but it's the best I could do with what I had on hand.
I have loved Papertrey Ink for so many years.  I have played along in their challenges, entered their monthly contests, purchased from their awesome store, etc., but I have yet to ever win anything there. Nonetheless, I still LOVE their amazing store and inspiring blog.  And since I saw this tutorial, I now have those watercolor stamps on my ever-growing PTI wish list.

These are the challenges where I am entering this card:

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday - Challenge #238 - Valentine's Ombre Stamping - I used Wonderful Words Love Die and Wonderful Words Love Stamp Set

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Have a Heart"

Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday Linky Party/Love

DLART Thankful Thursday - Anything Goes/Valentine's

CropStop Linky Party #12 - Anything Goes - I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Black Soot to stamp my sentiments

Word Art Wednesday #219 - Anything Goes/Family Friendly
