Paper Salon Scripture Card

Let me share a blessing with you all.  I have a crafty friend from church who scrapbooks and makes cards (she's PHENOMENAL) and now and then, she gives me a box of supplies from her stash.  Well, about a week ago, she gave me another box of goodies.  She told me that some of the stuff she gave me was over ten years old.  But, I don't mind one bit!  As long as I'm getting cute new (or at least new to me) supplies, I'm a happy camper!  I found these papers and stickers in the box from Paper Salon, and I just knew that I wanted to use them to make a scripture card.
I really love these beautiful colors, and can't believe she considered this "throw away" materials.  But, I'm SO glad that her blessing of abundance becomes my blessing as well.  God is SO GOOD, and I give Him all the praise and thanks for the kindness and generosity of this dear friend.

I'm going to share my card in the following challenges:

Word Art Wednesdays - Challenge #125 - Anything Goes - I used a word art scripture file that I saved from one of their previous week's challenges.

Faith, Hope and Love Scripture Challenge - Challenge #4 - I used the Bible verse from Isaiah 12:2

The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog - Challenge #164 - A Color Challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello.  I appreciate your comments, and would love to see what you've created this week.  Have fun crafting, and enjoy a great week, too!

Scripture Tag

I know that I'm sort of (as the saying goes) a day late and a dollar short.  What I mean by that is....I know that last week there was a tag challenge at one of my favorite challenge blogs, so this comes a bit late - but I can't help it.  Even though that challenge is over, I still like making tags and couldn't resist making one today.  I made this tag to give to a friend of mine at Bible study.
I made this tag using a piece of kraft paper, an October Afternoon journal tag and die-cut shapes, a button with green baker's twine, some hand-stained bias tape, and a Verve scripture stamp.

These are the challenges I've found where I can share this little tag I made.  If you know of any others, please feel free to let me know.  I don't know of a whole lot of challenge blogs.

Word Art Wednesdays Challenge Blog - Challenge #124 - Anything Goes - I used scripture on my tag (Matthew 11:28)

Faith, Hope and Love Scripture Challenge - Challenge #3 - Scripture Challenge - My Bible verse is a Verve stamp, and it is Matthew 11:28

Kraft Journal Challenge Blog - Challenge #163 - Tags - I saw this challenge on a friend's blog -I used kraft paper (for the base) and also green baker's twine and hand-stained bias tape.  Lots of cool items in their store!

Thank you for visiting my blog.  As you can see, I don't have many followers yet.  If you would like to become a new follower, I would be VERY grateful and will also follow your blog.

Welcome, Little One

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything.  I've been SO incredibly busy with work, shoveling the heaps of snow that keep accumulating, and just keeping up with life in general, that I haven't had hardly any time to create anything.  I made this little envelope to send to a friend who had a baby girl, and I thought I would slip a gift card inside it, and then she could use it to save some trinkets inside.  I whipped it up pretty quickly, so it's not terribly fancy.  But I hope she will like it anyway.
Since I haven't created anything in so long, I haven't been able to play along in any challenges either.  These are the challenges I found where I can share this project.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - The Wednesday Challenge Where Simon Says "For Mother Or A Special Girl" - I made this for a VERY special little girl.  Her parents went through years of infertility and finally IVF in order to get her, so she is very special (as all new babies are).

Eileen Hull - Art With Heart Challenge - New Beginnings - It's always fun to celebrate a brand new baby and their "new beginnings" in this big world

Word Art Wednesdays - Challenge #123 - Anything Goes - Family Friendly And Uplifting/Encouraging

Cardz TV Card Challenge - Challenge #3 - For A New Baby

Crafty Hazelnut's Challenge Blog - March Challenge - Use Patterned Papers - I used three different Crate Paper designs, plus some stickers, etc.

Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday Linky Party

If you know of any more challenges where I can share my project, I'd love to hear about them.  I tend to stick with the ones I know of, or ones that I see others entering.  I appreciate your input.  And, by the way, if you would like to follow my blog, I will follow you too!

Thanks for stopping by!
