Baby It's Cold Outside!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!  And I mean that QUITE literally!  It was 14 degrees here today, and the forecast is for the numbers to drop well below zero by Sunday!  Living in Minnesota is definitely fun, but you have to expect snow and cold weather.  We had best start pulling out our long underwear, and turn up the heater in the house......cuz, Baby It's Cold Outside!
I made this card following the guidelines for a few specific challenges this week.  I want to share it in all these challenges, and I will cross my fingers to hope for a little "Christmas win" for myself.  And if I don't win, I had fun making my card and playing along anyway!
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - BLING IT ON!!  To make my card BLING, I used glitter on the window pane, and some tiny gems by the stars.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - STAMP OUT 2014 - I used stamps for the girl image, and the sentiment image.

City Crafter Challenge Blog - CHALLENGE #190 - JINGLE BELLS

Word Art Wednesdays Challenge Blog - CHALLENGE #111 - ANYTHING GOES

My Craft Spot - CHALLENGE #122 - WRAP IT UP!
I don't know how man more blog posts and projects I will get done before Christmas, so just in case I'm not back before the holidays are over, Merry Christmas to everyone!  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He is the true gift of Christmas, and I hope that if you haven't received this priceless gift, that you will accept the greatest gift ever given - ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ.  Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Year as well.  God bless you all.

A Holiday Gift

I've sure seen some amazing holiday gifts on people's blogs this week.  I had to make a gift for a church event (it had to be home-made) so I started with a kraft paper six-pack that I decorated and filled with lots of candy and treats.  I took some old Starbucks bottles and filled them with candy and tied on ribbons and baker's twine.  I also added pretzel sticks rolled in white chocolate and crushed candy canes, some coffee, and mints. I decorated the kraft paper six-pack with pattern papers and embellishments.  It was a lot of work, but it turned out sweet and it went over really well at my church party.
These are the challenges I found where I can share my hand-made holiday gift:
The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog - Challenge #150 - Holiday Gifts - I used a kraft paper six-pack and covered it with pattern papers, and also used seam binding (found at The Kraft Outlet)
My Craft Spot - Challenge #121 - Christmas Gifts for Neighbors and Friends - I loved making this six-pack gift holder to use as a gift
Little Scrap Pieces - Friday Linky Party - Christmas Magic & Fun
V's Sweet Ideas Challenge - Challenge #18 - Holiday/Christmas Theme
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Wednesday Challenge:  Simon Says Snow - You can see the snowman peeking through, and there's also a snow-covered cottage on the front, and lots of other "snowy elements" on my project.
I am so thankful to have you stop by my blog, and I would love to hear your thoughts on my project.
God bless you!

The Gingerbread Man

One thing that I just love about Christmas time is making cookies.  I love that smell when there are cookies baking in the oven, and one of my most favorites is the smell (and taste) of gingerbread man cookies.  Gingerbread smells so good, and I also love to decorate them with cinnamon red hots and icing.  So, when I saw the challenge this week at My Craft Spot calling for shaped Christmas cards, I knew that I wanted to make a Gingerbread Man shaped card.  I used some kraft paper and decorated him using some little red berries I got at Michaels last year, some baker twine, a button, and then drew on his eyes and smile with a black Sharpie.  He is small and fits into my small sized envelope.  I used a Making Memories rub-on for the Merry Christmas sentiment.  I used a sharpie to draw the outline around the border.
I am going to enter this Gingerbread Man card in a few challenges, including the one at My Craft Spot.  Here are the links:
My Craft Spot by Kimberly - Challenge #119 - Christmas Shape Cards
Word Art Wednesdays - Challenge #108 - Anything Goes - also sponsored by My Craft Spot
Twist of Faith Card Challenges - Challenge #65 - Use Three Colors - I used brown/kraft, red and green

Thanks for stopping by, and please leave a comment.  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Let It Snow!

I have seen a few light flurries here and there, but I know that the snow is going to fall (in heavy loads) before too terribly long here in Minnesota.  I absolutely love the snow - the kids can play outside on nice days, we can go skiing, snowmobiling and sledding.  For me, it's one of the things that really makes Christmas special.
I had these older Jolly by Golly supplies from Cosmo Cricket, and I wanted some inspiration.  So, I went to Pinterest and found a sweet card that I followed somewhat.  I used the pattern papers and chipboard from this line, some sequins, buttons, jute, ribbon, and frosty Stickles.  I stitched the edge with my sewing machine.  I've seen other crafters do this, and I really like how it looks.  I had never thought of sewing on paper, but everyone else seems to be doing it.  And.....that frame!  I don't know what the person who originally came up with this idea used, but as for me, I had to make it myself.  I traced some scalloped paper onto cardboard to make it just the right size, then traced that again onto cream cardstock and layered it up for dimension.  It was a lot of fussy cutting, but it works.  I like how it turned out.
I'm going to enter some challenges, too!

Word Art Wednesdays - Challenge #107 - Anything Goes

Pile It On Challenge Blog - Challenge #47 - Non-Traditional Christmas - I like using different colors sometimes - Mix it up!
I guess I'm going to get busy getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas before the snow really does begin to fall, and I get stuck indoors (LOL).  I am still hoping to grow my blog, and if you will be so kind as to follow my blog, I will also follow yours.  I am grateful for any constructive (and kind or helpful) criticisms.  I want to improve, and I enjoy learning from others.
Have a nice day!

Harvest Time Card

I really love this time of year.  The leaves are changing, the air is crisp and cool, I get to watch lots of football, and it's getting closer and closer to Christmas.  Hurray!  But for today, I wanted to share a Harvest Time card that I made.  I used some older Chatterbox pattern paper, a doily, some hemp cord, some velvet trim, a Tim Holtz Adage Ticket, a wooden Harvest plaque (from my stash), and some machine stitching.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges that I found where it would fit!
V's Sweet Ideas Challenge Blog - Challenge #17 - Color Challenge (Using red, gold, sage green and brown)
The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog - Challenge #145 - "Harvest Time" - I used hemp cord, a Tim Holtz Adage Ticket, and kraft paper for this card (all available at their fun store - which I LOVE)

Word Art Wednesdays Challenge - Challenge #105 - Anything Goes (I didn't use the scripture this time)

Twist of Faith Challenge Blog - Challenge #62 - "In Remembrance" - I shared this card because it is being sent to my cousin to remind her of all our fun Autumn days spent together when we were young

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Wednesday Challenge - "Keep It Clean and Simple"
It's so nice to have you stop by my blog and I thank you for your comments, and if you would be SO kind as to follow my blog, I will also follow YOUR blog.  That would be great.

A Harvest Tag

I like to make tags because I can give them to friends to use as bookmarks.  I made some for the friends in my Bible study group, and they all love them and use them in their Bible Study handbooks, which made me feel really good.  So, I made this Autumn/Harvest Tag yesterday and put some beautiful Autumn leaves on it.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges that I found where it would fit!  Feel free to let me know if you can think of any other challenges where I can share this week.  I don't know of a lot of different challenges.  I tend to copy some of the same challenges that my "blog friends" enter.  LOL

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Blog - Challenge #172 - "Tag It!"

Eureka Digital Stamps Challenge Blog - Challenge #64 - "Fall Leaves or Feathers" - I used leaves!
V's Sweet Ideas Challenge Blog - Challenge #17 - Color Challenge (Using red, gold, sage green and brown)
The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog - Challenge #145 - "Harvest Time" - I used some natural hemp cord and a Grungy Prim Tag (which are both available at their fun store The Kraft Outlet - which I LOVE)

Word Art Wednesdays Challenge - Challenge #105 - Anything Goes (I didn't use the scripture on this project, and hope that's OK)
It's so nice to have you stop by my blog and I thank you for your comments, and if you would be SO kind as to follow my blog, I will also follow YOUR blog.  That would be great.

Gorgeous Gourds

I LOVE this look I found for blue gourds in the "Gorgeous Gourds" Challenge at Curtain Call.  I couldn't wait to make a card with this beautiful blue plaid gourds.  Just LOVE it!
I used some older Making Memories pattern paper, some burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby, seam binding, a Paper Sweeties sentiment stamp, a piece of a journaling card (also from my stash), and half a doily.

Christmas Paper Pocket

As promised, I'm back to share another one of these sweet little paper bag pockets.  I made this one with some older Christmas papers I had on hand.  I want to use it as a Christmas gift and I figured it's always good to get started on Christmas projects!
Here are the challenges I've found where I can enter this pocket project:
Word Art Wednesdays - Challenge #102 - Anything Goes
Dream Valley Challenge Blog - Challenge #67 - Buttons - I used LOTS of buttons!

Hiding In My Craftroom - Challenge:  Super Scraps Saturday - I used all scraps on this little pocket!
The Kraft Journal - Challenge #142 - Discover Something New - I tried my hand at these paper bag pockets (from a tutorial I found at The Kraft Journal a while back).  This is a "new discovery" for me, and I thought it was really easy and fun.  My "kraft" product is the mini paper bag I used!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Wednesday Challenge: Simon Says Christmas/Happy Holidays
If I find some more challenges where I can enter my little pockets, I would.  For now, that's all I have for you.  I really hope that everybody has a great week.

Cute Paper Bag Pocket

I'm here today to share a quick little project I made from a mini paper bag.  I will admit that I was very much inspired by other people on this - I'm not always the most creative on my own.  I do like how it turned out.
Dream Valley Challenges - Challenge #67 - Buttons - I used LOTS of buttons!
Mark's Finest Papers Challenge Blog - Wednesday's Simple Salutations - Thinking Of You - I used a Mark's Finest Papers tea cup stamp from their Oh Beans Stamp Set.

Hiding In My Craftroom Challenges - Super Scraps Saturday - I used scraps and LOVE using scraps.  Great challenge!
The Kraft Journal - Challenge #142 - Discover Something New - This was my first time trying the little gift bag pockets that I learned about in a past tutorial at The Kraft Journal.   I saw several other people try them, and they seemed easy enough and turned out really cute, so I thought I'd give it a try.  My "Kraft" item was the small kraft paper bag I used to create this.
Word Art Wednesdays - Challenge #102 - Anything Goes - You don't have to use the scripture on your project.  I like using their gorgeous word art files, but I didn't this time.
I made this little gift card pocket based on a tutorial that I had seen some time ago over at The Kraft Journal.  I used a cute little paper bag and covered it with patterned papers, stickers, flowers and buttons.  I love getting ideas like this because they're easy and cute.  Mine turned out really good for my first try, and I will definitely do this again because it was super easy and fun.
I will be back again soon with another blog post to show you another one of these cute little pockets.  If you give it a try, please let me know so that I can look at yours too.

Pretty Pink and Load of Buttons

I found a few challenges this week that I really wanted to enter, so I made a card to cover the themes for these.  I plan to give this card to a special someone who will really appreciate it right now.  I used some really old Making Memories papers and embellishments along with lots of buttons.  I love using buttons on my projects, even though they usually require extra postage because they're so "lumpy".
These are the challenges I found where I want to enter this card, and I'm hoping it will bring me some luck this week.

I wish I could find some more challenges to enter, but that's all I could think of.  I would really appreciate hearing your thoughts on my card, and would love even more to have you as a new follower of my blog.  I would LOVE to follow you in return.
I hope that you're having a happy week creating fun things, and I thank you so much for stopping by to say hello to me!

I'm a Sweetie!!

I was SO thrilled when I won the challenge last month at Paper Sweeties Challenges.  Not only did I get to pick out a prize for winning, but I was also invited to design with them for the October Sketch Challenge.  Here is the inspiration photo for this month's challenge at Paper Sweeties.
So, I decided that I wanted to try something a little bit different for this challenge.  Rather than making a card or tag, which I seem to do ALL the time.....I chose to make a little treat box.  After I made this one, I created one for each of my nieces and nephews that I plan to hand out soon.  It doesn't show it in the photo, but I ended up stuffing them with suckers, candy and treats.
The box was cut from a piece of cardboard, and I covered it with some Autumn colored pattern papers to match the inspiration photo.  I added the door and window which are from Maya Road, and I painted and glittered those.  Then, I added some flowers, ribbon, a flower cut from a dress pattern, and then the sentiment strips which are stamped with Paper Sweeties sentiment stamps.
I'm playing along and entering a couple of challenges with this project.  I never seem to be able to find many challenges where I can make my projects fit, but this is where I found to enter this.

Pals Paper Crafts Challenge Blog - Challenge #174 - A Color Challenge

Addicted to Stamps - Challenge #65 - Color Inspiration

Word Art Wednesdays - Challenge #100 - Anything Goes
Please stop by Paper Sweeties to enter their challenge this month.  You just might be as lucky as I was and have your project chosen to win their awesome monthly prize (a $20 gift certificate to their shop).  You don't have to use Paper Sweeties stamps to play along; but if you do, you get an extra vote.  You will LOVE their stamps and sweet products.

Delight Yourself In The Lord

I made this card using one of my favorite Bible verses  - Psalm 37:4.  I saw a card very similar to this on another blog, and I liked it so much that I decided to make my card like that one.  I can't remember whose blog it was on, but I think it was from the Christian challenge blog, Word Art Wednesdays.  I'm sharing my card there, and in a few other challenges as well.
Basic Grey Challenge Blog - Inspiration Photos - Autumn Colors - I guess my orange is a little bit light, but the card does still have orange, green and brown.  The Basic Grey products I used are the pattern paper from the Porcelain collection, and the Picadilly wooden button (which is kinda hidden behind the bow, but it's really there, and it's really from Basic Grey - I promise!!!  I even shared the link (below) to where you can buy them.
Simon Says Stamp Blog Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes Using Simon Says Stamp Products.  The product I used from their awesome store is the wooden button from Basic Grey (rather hidden by my bow), but here is the link in case you'd like some - they're BEAUTIFUL! - Basic Grey Picadilly Wooden Buttons

God bless you all for stopping by!  I'm still hoping to get more followers if you would be so kind.  I would love to have you follow my blog, and I would love to follow yours.

You Are Sweet

Lately, I've been making a lot of tags because people have told me that they like to use them as bookmarks.  So when I send someone a birthday card, I always try to include a tag.  I made this one for my friend who does a lot of reading.  She likes to have a bookmark/tag in each book she's reading, so this will work perfectly.
I used a piece of Simple Stories floral paper for the background, and then pressure embossed a piece of cream paper on top of that.  I added two different washi tapes (red polka dot and blue plaid), some narrow yellow rick-rack, and a tag with some Doodlebug rub-ons to spell "you are" and then added a "sweet" Making Memories chipboard from my stash (super old) to an October Afternoon journaling sticker.
I'm going to enter some challenges with this tag.  Here are the challenges I found that I could enter.

Mark's Finest Papers - #62 - Simple Salutations/Thinking of You - I was thinking of my friend who I made this tag for, and I think she will love it.
Word Art Wednesdays Challenges - #97 Anything Goes
V's Sweet Ideas Challenges - #15 Washi Tape

Eureka Stamps - #56 - Shaped Cards - I used a tag so that's a shape, right?
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Emboss It - I embossed the cream piece of paper that's over my floral paper using my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder

I hope to find a few more challenges where I can link up!  Please let me know if you can think of any for me!

Thank you,

Create In Me

"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."
    -Psalm 51:10
I will admit that I have made a lot of really big mistakes in my life.  I think that's one of the reasons why I love this Bible verse so much.  It reminds me that I don't have to live in the sins of my past, and that I don't have to continue making the same mistakes over and over again.  God doesn't hold my past against me.  Whew!!!  That's a huge relief.
Ever since I've made some really awesome new friends - Ginny, Patti and Lisa - from my church - I almost feel like I'm starting over fresh.  They encourage me to do what's right, and they are so much fun!  They're the ones who got me into scrapbooking or card-making, and they are those Proverbs 17:17 kind of friends who I know will always be there for me.
I am going to enter this Bible verse card in some challenges - Here.......
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Animal Antics (I used three butterflies) - Closes September 11
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Stamping All-Stars - My "ALL STAR" stamps are my scripture stamps.  They are the ones I seem to pull out again and again.  LOVE THEM!  P.S.  I also love Simon Says Stamp!!! - Closes September 7

V's Sweet Ideas Challenge Blog - #15 - Washi Tape - I used a bright green washi tape to match my pattern paper (Well, it sorta matches...LOL)
Word Art Wednesdays - #96 - Anything Goes Challenge, Closes September 10
I'm still looking for more challenges where I can share my cards.  If you know of any that would be a good fit for this card, please let me know.  I need to find some more places where I can enter.
I appreciate anyone who actually stops by my blog.  If you want to follow my blog, I will happily follow yours too.  You can see I don't have many "followers" yet so I appreciate any comments or followers I can get.  I want to meet more people and learn about more challenges, so feel free to leave me any constructive criticism you want.  My good friend from church is still helping me A LOT with my blog and stuff, and I'm super grateful for that.  That's just another blessing from God!

For some kids heading back to school, it may not be "happiness".  But for the little ones I know who are heading back to school, I sure hope it does mean a year of happiness, fun, safety, learning and great memories.
I'm entering a few challenges with this little tag.  Here they are......
Eureka Stamps - #54 - Be Sentimental - I used this "Happiness" sentiment which is a rub-on

The Kraft Journal - #135 Copy Your Favorite Designer - This is how I thought of making tags for challenges...through one of my many "scrapbooking idols", Miss Rea Custer of The Antique Wardrobe. - I used Tim Holtz Ruler Ribbon and Red Polka Dot Washi Tape from The Kraft Outlet

Word Art Wednesday - #94 - Anything Goes

Cupcake Inspirations - #225 - "Back to School"

That's all for today!  Please leave me a comment, or better yet, become a new follower of my blog, and I will do the same for you.  It means SO MUCH for me.

Where Has Our Summer Gone??

I absolutely cannot believe that Summer is almost over.  Where did it go?  I mean, I had fun at barbeques, swimming, and enjoying the warm weather,'s still hard to believe that kids are heading back to school and that the Summer has slipped away.  Before we even know it, Christmas will just sneak right up on us.
I made this little Back to School Tag, and I think I'm going to give it to my neighbor so that she can put a picture of her kids' first day of school on the back of it and save it as a keepsake.  I know my Mom always enjoyed taking pictures of us on our first day of school each year.  I hope she likes it.  I just thought that if she had a place to put the photo, she would use it.  Since she reads A LOT, I figured she would use it as a little bookmark.  Cute idea, huh?
I wanted to enter some of the Back to School challenges, and here are the ones that I found where I could enter this project:

Back To School....Already?

As I travel through "BLOG LAND" each week, I tend to see "themes" going on everywhere.  This is how I find out what kinds of cards need to be made for the challenges out there.  I was seeing a lot of really cute back to school cards, so I decided to make one and enter some of the fun challenges this week.
This card uses all October Afternoon products (papers and stickers) and then I hand cut the apple and stem from some scraps of felt that I had in my supplies.  I used a die-cut for the felt leaves.  Then, the final touch was some twine.

Here are the challenges I found where I am able to share my card:

Red Carpet Studios - Challenge 49 Based on the movie - SCHOOL OF ROCK - They asked for a back to school card.

Simon Says Stamp Vintage Monday Challenges - Challenge:  MAKE THE CUT - They asked us to use die-cuts, punches, etc.  I used a die-cut to cut my leaves.
V's Sweet Ideas - Challenge 14 - SOMETHING TWINE - I love using baker's twine and V's Sweet Ideas carries lots of great colors
Craft Your Passion - Challenge 175 - DON'T GET YOUR TWINE IN A TANGLE - I used green and red baker's twine, and I didn't get it in a tangle!  LOL
Created With Love Challenge Blog - Challenge 53 - BACK TO SCHOOL
Word Art Wednesday - Challenge 93 - ANYTHING GOES - Family Friendly, Uplifting, or Encouraging
If you know of any other fun challenges where I can share this card, I'd love to hear about it.  I haven't found all the challenge blogs out there, so I tend to "copy" or enter the challenges that other people enter.  I have several "mentors" who have helped me get started and I like getting challenge ideas from them.  I'd really like hearing your suggestions for good challenge blogs.
Have fun this week in your craft room!

Sweet Little Tag

I saw a few challenges that I wanted to enter this week, so I decided to make a sweet little gift tag.  I used some Basic Grey Urban Prairie pattern paper, a rub-on from Pebbles in My Pocket that I rubbed onto a piece of canvas, and a heart accent.  I also added some ribbons at the top.
I'm going to enter these challenges:
Basic Grey Challenge Blog - Challenge #99 - Make a Tag - I used Basic Grey's Urban Prairie pattern paper
Word Art Wednesday - Challenge #90 - Anything Goes

Kraft is Kool

I like using kraft paper and embellishments.  I found a couple of challenges where I could share a kraft card so I decided to use some and enter.  I like the look of kraft (which is shabby and rough) along side soft and pretty pattern papers.  This was a scrap of paper I had left from the gorgeous Girls' Paperie collection.  I'm almost completely out of these papers and I can't find more of them ANYWHERE.  It's a nice combination, I thought.  The sentiment is from Verve Rubber Stamps.
These are the challenges I found where I can share this card.
The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog - Felt, Twine or Burlap - I used baker's twine, kraft paper and a Tim Holtz Journaling Ticket
Paper Playtime Challenges - Challenge #12 - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Challenge #84 - Anything Goes
Some of you have left me such nice comments.  Please know that I really do appreciate it.

Fun in My Craft Room

There's nothing as fun for me as a day in my Craft Room.  This is actually a portion of the basement that I've made into a crafty area, but it's still my little spot and I love every minute I get to spend there.  I had some time today and made this little card.

These are the challenges where I want to share my card.
Basic Grey Challenge Blog- Challenge #96 - Doilies - I used a Martha Stewart doily that I bought at Michael's.  I also used two pattern papers from the Basic Grey Pheobe line (an older Basic Grey line) and the letter stickers are Basic Grey LilyKate collection.
Paper Play Time Challenge Blog - Challenge #12 - Anything Goes
Come and Get It Challenges - Sketch Challenge - I really like this sketch and had fun following it!

Word Art Wednesday Challenges - Challenge #84 - Anything Goes Theme
I wish the weekend could last longer.  I'm not quite ready to go back to work tomorrow, but...oh well!  I'm already looking forward to next weekend.  How about you!?
Have a great week, and thank you very much for stopping by my blog.  By the way, I NEED FOLLOWERS and will follow anyone who follows me.
I added this blog badge to my side-bar because I'm super excited about their give-away, upcoming blog hop, and new June stamp and die-cut release.  I just thought I'd share it here in case you want to check it out.  It's over at My Craft Spot by Kimberly.

Just Because

You know how sometimes you just want to give someone a card "just because"?  Well, that's how I felt this week.  I have a friend who I just felt needed a "pick-me-up" and so I made her this card just to let her know that I was thinking about her.
The sentiment turned out a little bit fuzzy in my photo, but it says "Just Because", and it's from Paper Sweeties.  I got a few of their super cute stamps from an on-line friend, and I hope to eventually get some more.  They have really cute paper doll type stamps, sweet sentiments (like this one), darling images, and fluffy seam binding (which I don't own, but LOVE).

Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog - #82 - Anything Goes/Uplifting or Encouraging

Simon Says Stamp & Show Vintage Challenge Blog - Brought To You By the Letter S - For the letter "S", I used simple STRIPS of patterned paper for the base of my card.  I hope that qualifies.
I'm still hoping to get some new followers on my blog - if you're interested in following me, I'd be happy to follow your blog too!!

Scrapping Everyday Miracles Challenge

I just love playing along at the Christian challenge blogs - Scrapping Everyday Miracles, Word Art Wednesday and Twist of Faith Cards because I love what they stand for, the messages they bring, and designing with scripture and other sweet sentiments.   I specifically created this card based on the card sketch for the May Challenge at Scrapping Everyday Miracles.  The card sketch is simple and sweet, and I really enjoyed creating my card for their challenge.  Not to mention, I absolutely LOVE their sponsor, Blue Moon Scrapbooking and would be SO thrilled to win their prize.   You can read more about this awesome challenge by clicking on the link below:
Scrapping Everyday Miracles - Challenge #20 - May Sketch Inspiration - Use Circles - I used this Verve stamp for my sentiment because it reminds us that God's grace is ALWAYS sufficient (as He has told us in 2 Corinthians 12:9).

I'm also sharing this card in a couple of other Christian challenges this week.  I just LOVE playing along, and although I'm new at this - I'm enjoying it so much, and all the people I've met have been SO sweet.

Challenge at Cupcake Inspirations

There's a really cute color combination challenge at Cupcake Inspirations and thought I would make something to try to play in this challenge.  They are sponsored by Downtown Tape (which I LOVE) and I have just been getting into using washi tapes as you can see on this project.
It's just a glass dish that I put some chocolates inside of, and covered with a doily.  Then, to bring in the colors of this challenge, I added some washi tapes and a flower that I got at my Michael's Store.  I like these flowers because they look kinda like Prima flowers, but they are much cheaper.  This other picture kinda shows the candy in the dish.
I still don't have many people ever stop by my blog, but if anyone wants to play along in this challenge, I'm sure they would love to have you join the fun.  Here is the link.
I hope to get some comments, and if you want to follow me I will follow you back.

Behold, All Things Have Become New

I saw a challenge posted this week at Scrapping Everyday Miracles, and knew right away that I just HAD to play along.  I love using scriptures on my cards.  I'm very new at entering challenges, but really wanted to give this one a try.  I will explain below my story about the card.  I know I'm not the world's most talented card maker, but I sure do enjoy trying.

Scrapping Everyday Miracles Challenges - Challenges #28 - Behold, All Things Have Become New.  The items I used that are older than one year are my stamps used on this card.  The sentiment scripture stamp is from Verve, and I've had it for quite a while.  I used it because my son's pre-school teacher is new this year, and shared with me that sometimes she feels like giving up, but I try to encourage her that she can't give up because God is working through her efforts in the lives of these children.  The part that is something NEW for me is pre-school.  It's my son's first year in pre-school, and it's been a real time of transition, but I know that God is working in his life at this time to help him become all that God has planned for his life.  This was a really fun challenge for me.  I embrace this new chapter in his life.
Mark's Finest Papers Sketch With a Twist - I followed the sweet little sketch for this challenge, and followed the twist because it's for my son's teacher, and my son said to me, "Mom, NO ribbons or buttons, cuz that's for girls".  LOL - I also wanted to mention that I used a Mark's Finest Papers stamp set on this card (for the apples and the 2+2=4 stamp).  They have such cute stamps!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Challenge #78 - Anything Goes With Scripture
I  hope that his teacher, Miss Ayers, will enjoy this card made especially for her to encourage her to never give up.
